Shibapp LLC (Shibapp合同会社, hereinafter "we," "us," or "our") develops and operates the watch camera app "Komirun" (hereinafter "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
You can use the App by signing in with your Google or Apple account. The email address and user ID obtained through sign-in are managed through Firebase Authentication in order to connect two devices (a camera device and a viewing device) under the same account.
Camera Video and Audio
The App uses your device's camera and microphone. Live video and audio are primarily transmitted directly between devices using WebRTC (peer-to-peer) and are not stored on our servers. Depending on network conditions, the stream may be relayed through a TURN server we manage; even in that case, we do not store the video or audio, and the connection is encrypted (DTLS-SRTP). The same applies to the two-way voice (push-to-talk) feature.
Event Recording Clips
When motion detection is triggered, a short clip is automatically recorded and temporarily stored in Firebase Storage so you can review what was detected, and it is made available in your event history. Clips are kept for 7 days on the Free plan and 30 days on the Premium plan, and are automatically deleted after that period. You may also choose to save a clip to your device's photo library; once saved, management of the clip is handled by your device and is outside our control.
Device Information and Notification Tokens
To deliver push notifications and establish connections between camera and viewing devices, we store FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) tokens and signaling information required for the connection in Google Cloud Firestore.
Guest Participation Information
Family members and others can join as viewers ("guests") without creating an account, using a pairing code, QR code, or invite link. Guests who join are shown the camera's video feed. You are responsible for issuing, sharing, and managing pairing codes and invite links.
Information Collected by Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Please refer to their respective privacy policies:
- Google Play Services
- AdMob
- RevenueCat (in-app purchase management)
- Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, App Check)
Advertising and Tracking
The App may display advertisements through AdMob. On iOS, we may request permission under App Tracking Transparency (ATT) in order to show personalized ads. If permission is not granted, non-personalized ads will be shown instead.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect location data. We also do not use any analytics tools or crash-reporting SDKs to analyze usage.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain watch camera functionality (live video delivery, motion detection, event recording, and push notifications)
- Connect camera and viewing devices, and provide the guest viewing feature
- Manage in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Diagnose and fix errors or technical issues
- Display advertisements through AdMob
- Prevent unauthorized use (for example, verifying that requests come from the genuine App via Firebase App Check)
Third Parties Who May Appear on Camera
Because of the nature of the App, the camera's video may capture people other than you, such as visitors or family members. It is your responsibility to obtain any consent required from people you record, and to comply with the laws and regulations of your country or region regarding recording and surveillance (including, but not limited to, laws on unauthorized filming, communication privacy, and personal data protection). We process video and audio data based on your instructions, and you are responsible for determining what and how it is recorded.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Deletion
If you delete your account from the in-app settings screen, your account-related data is deleted from our servers. As noted above, event recording clips are automatically deleted after the retention period for your plan (7 days on the Free plan, 30 days on the Premium plan) has elapsed.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
If a parent or guardian uses the App to watch over a child at home, the handling of the resulting video and audio is the responsibility and judgment of that parent or guardian.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
